default portal to a custom portal

We have default portal(sp) and a custom portal "abc". Now if we enter URL https://xxx.servicenow.com is redirecting to xxx.servicenow.com/sp. instead I want to redirect xxx.servicenow.com to xxx.servicenow.com/abc.

can someone please help on this?

The article is not clear to me as it talks about role based redirection. 

My requirement before login to the servicenow. 

https://xxx.servicenow.com should redirect to new portal like https://xxx.servicenow.com/abc

Did you try setting it to Default?

Navigate to Service Portal >> Portals. Search by portal name: abc & set the Default to True.
