Delta exam of CIS-SP — Certified Implementation Specialist Service Provider

Hi everyone,

I am looking for the Delta exam for my Certified Implementation Specialist – Service Provider (CIS-SP) certification.

I’ve checked my Now Learning account, but the Delta exam isn't appearing in my "Needs Attention" or "Certifications" tab. Is this specific certification still requiring a Delta exam, or has it moved to the new maintenance format?

Any guidance on how to keep this certification active would be greatly appreciated!

Best regards,

Hi @Meryemm,

I had to take the delta exam, but it also depends on when you took the original exam. If it was recently, this might explain why you don’t need to take the delta exam.

Hope this helps!

Hi @Meryemm

Did you recently appear for CIS-SP (on the Zurich release)? If yes, then there’s no need to take the delta exam. If not, you should see a warning under “My Certifications”; otherwise, you can log in now learning  case

Hi @Meryemm

  • If you recently passed the CIS-SP exam (on the Zurich release): You do not need to take the Delta exam.
  • If you passed the exam prior to the Zurich release: You will see an "At Risk" warning under the “My Certifications” or "Achievements" section in ServiceNow University.

Note: If second option is yes, and CIS- SP is your only mainline cert  where you are looking for Delta exam, in that case make sure You have paid Certification Maintenance Program (CMP) fee ($200) in Now Learning /Servicenow University.

Hi ,

Thank you for the guidance. Following your advices, I have verified my status and researched the specific requirements for this certification.

I found that according to KB0012140 (Certified Implementation Specialist - Service Provider (CIS-SP) Delta Exam Study Guide) on the Now Learning portal, ServiceNow has explicitly stated:

"Candidates holding the Certified Implementation Specialist - Service Provider (CIS-SP) certification are not required to complete a Maintenance (Delta) exam in 2026."

Since I have already paid my Certification Maintenance Program (CMP) fee and passed the Deltas for my other three mainline certifications, and because my CIS-SP status is currently listed as "Current" (not "At Risk"), I understand that no further action is required for this specific credential during this release cycle.

I am posting this here to confirm this is the standard behavior for the CIS-SP path and to ensure I am not at risk of expiration after the April 16th deadline.

Best regards,
