Need help to understand what makes a ticket select different closed states when closing a task or incident

When pulling list of incidents or request and showing in reports some show as closed skipped and some show as closed completed was wondering what drives this in service now

Get this when sorting task by state but when looking at the list do not see them this way it just says closed
