Does “Moveworks for ITSM” include the Moveworks SaaS instance/license?

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to clarify the licensing and provisioning model for Moveworks for ITSM, particularly with the current ITSM Foundation / Advanced / Prime packaging.

ServiceNow’s current ITSM pricing page shows:

  • ITSM Foundation → Moveworks for ITSM Foundation

  • ITSM Advanced → Moveworks for ITSM Advanced

  • ITSM Prime → Moveworks for ITSM Prime

I understand that ServiceNow provides the integration/application required to connect ServiceNow with Moveworks. However, I’m trying to establish whether the Moveworks SaaS instance/tenant itself is included in the ITSM subscription, or whether a separate Moveworks subscription/license is still required.

The distinction is important because an integration entitlement does not necessarily mean that the third-party service itself is included. For example, having Integration Hub does not provide an Oracle subscription simply because Oracle can be integrated through Integration Hub.

I found the ServiceNow Community post “Bringing Moveworks AI to Employee Center”, which states that customers must already be licensed for both Moveworks and Employee Center.

I also found the Employee Slate powered by Moveworks Implementation Guide, which lists both:

  • “Moveworks license: Moveworks is licensed”

  • “Configured Moveworks Instance: Moveworks must be configured”

The EmployeeWorks getting-started documentation similarly refers to a “Moveworks instance” that must be licensed, provisioned and configured.

Therefore, could someone from ServiceNow or someone with a current ITSM Foundation/Advanced/Prime contract please clarify:

  1. If we purchase ITSM Foundation / Advanced / Prime, is Moveworks for ITSM fully included in that subscription?

  2. Does that entitlement include the Moveworks instance required to run the service?

  3. Is there any separate Moveworks license/subscription or additional commercial agreement required?

  4. Is the Moveworks instance provisioned by ServiceNow automatically after the ITSM entitlement is activated?

  5. Does the answer differ between Moveworks for ITSM Foundation, Advanced and Prime?

  6. If the Moveworks instance is included, is there any separate charge based on users, conversations, consumption, connectors, or enterprise applications?

  7. Is there an official licensing/packaging document that explicitly confirms this?

I’m specifically looking for clarification on the commercial entitlement to the Moveworks backend/tenant, rather than just confirmation that ServiceNow provides an integration with Moveworks.

Thanks in advance.
