Faceted Search Widget on sp_search page

Hey,

I am trying to hide the kb_author as a search source for the faceted widget that is on the sp_search page. I found a doc

"Disable facets for a search source" and i tried to add in kb_author sys ID as the value but the widget is still allowing a user to see Author on the widget. The requirement is that the user cannot see who authored articles. Any suggestions?

Here is one way to do it, but there is probably a better way:

• Navigate to Service Portal > Search Sources
• Open the Knowledge Bases list
• Scroll down to the Facet generation script
• Find the following line and comment it out
• Click on Update to save and exit
