How can I specify in the Change Request ticket when there is more than one CI related?

Can I add it to "Affected CI" or "Impacted Services/CIs" in a Change request?

HI @ayano ,
I trust you are doing great.
Please find the below details for diffrence between affected cis and impacted services

Affected CIs (Configuration Items):

  • Definition: Refers to the specific configuration items that will be modified, added, or removed as part of the change request.
  • Detail: These are the actual technical components, like servers, databases, or network devices, that will be directly touched or altered during the implementation of the change.
  • Purpose: Identifying affected CIs is crucial for assessing the risks associated with the change, planning the change effectively, and for audit purposes.

2. Impacted Services/CIs:

  • Definition: Refers to the services or configuration items that might experience consequences due to the change, even though they are not being directly modified.
  • Detail: These could include services that rely on the affected CIs or other dependent configuration items that might be indirectly influenced due to the change.
  • Purpose: Identifying impacted services/CIs helps in understanding the broader impact of the change, facilitating better communication, and planning around potential disruptions or dependencies.
