How do I configure the position of the tooltip box?

Hi All,

How do I configure the position of the tooltip box that opens when mouse cursor hovering over the information icon or variable label?

As you can see from the gif when mousing over the information icon the tooltip box covers the icon making it difficult to click. Sometimes the box flashes so you have to click between flashes to access the button. This is also happening when hovering over some of the variable labels.

I have found where to configure the text in the tooltip via the dictionary record for the variable but not where to configure the box position. I can't see a dictionary record for the information icon.

This only seems to be an issue on the sc_task form, the sc_req_item form and incident form are fine.

No, it’s not possible to remove the tooltip. This is by design, and it's important that we educate users on how certain elements in the system are intentionally designed for consistency and usability across the platform.

In ServiceNow, there’s no built in dictionary property or declarative setting to reposition the tooltip next to the info icon or variable label, so to change its position (for example so it doesn’t cover the icon) you’d typically need to inject custom CSS or script..
