Other than having the Forward Schedule of Change to communicate changes to IT, how do you handle communicating changes to the business?

We have a weekly report that is sent to the business owners with the list of all changes impacting the business services. In each CI, we setup a relationship to the business service. The report runs against "Impacted Services" [task_cmdb_ci_service]. and is automatically emailed before the CAB meeting.

we are fortunate enough to have a corporate communications group that sends all communications to the business units for us...
when a change is opened one of the variables is "Is communication required" if it is marked yes it kicks off an email with the change number and CI to the corp communications group.. if that CI is already on-boarded they just need the dates and impact for their communication <part of the change> if they aren't then during the cab they will get what they need to send out the information.

Our company actually has the same setup. This team also post that communication in our knowledge base and it displays on our self service home page under outages and alerts. We do have a enhancement planned to have the system send out the notification when the change is entered. It has partially been developed as we wanted those involved in creating changes to get used to the formatting of the notification that should go out before we actually turn it on. Below is a screenshot of what we designed. Currently it's just being used so we can notify our communications team that a communication needs to go out with all the details. Ultimately we would like to change that in the future where it would go straight to the business.
I hope this was helpful.
