How does Timezone work for Change request?

Hello ,
Recently one of our CAB member posed this question, when user creates a change request they put in planned start date and planned end date. So if the user is in a different timezone than that of the system default time zone, then the scheduled time is set based on the system timezone or based on the assigned to timezone. If not there will be a disconnect because if the scheduled time in the calendar says 6-9pm and does not specify the timezone, the assigned to user will be performing the task at 6-9pm his local time which would be different from system local time.

The time shown isn't based on the Users timezone, it's based on the timezone set on the Users profile. If no timezone is set, it uses the system's default timezone.
So if the user submitting is in the system timezone and enters 6-9, but the assigned to user profile has a timezone set, when they view the planned time it will show based on the timezone set, not the system default.
