How is this field NOT mandatory!?

Hello all,

 

     I am trying to figure out how this field is not mandatory on the form.  As you can see, the field definition says it is required, but on the form itself, it is not.  I checked the UI Policies and nothing is active on the field.  I will note that this issue has to be client side.  The reason I think so is that when I reload the form, for a split second I see the field is mandatory and then something 'takes away' the mandatory.

I figured it out...*sigh*  It helps if you uncheck "Reverse if false" on the UI Policy you created that affects the field.

since it's a custom field then definitely some client script OR UI Policy or UI script making it non-mandatory

may be can you check if there are any client script or ui script present which is making them non-mandatory
