Does anybody knows how to change the default favicon (also called "shortcut icon") in Service-Now?

You can upload any 16X16 image to the images table. Then you just change the system property to point to the new image.

Upload the file using the System Definition / Upload File module. You cannot upload a file called "favicon.ico". It will seem like it worked, but the file will be ignored.

Then, change the icon property in the System Properties / System module. Look for the property that says "Icon image displayed in bookmarks and browser address bar". Save the change and refresh the page.

Hi Jim,

I have uploaded an image file as you said but don't know where it stores in SN as I am unable to locate my file.

If you are able to change SN bookmark icon then please elaborate your method step by step.

Hope to hear from you!

Brgds, AM

Just like I said - upload the file (I have no idea where it goes, we do not have access to it) and then change the property.

I just uploaded a new "favicon2.ico" file (Google) into the demo14 instance and then put "favicon2.ico" into that property, saved and refreshed the page and it is now the Google "G" logo.

Thank You Jim, It's working now 🙂
