How to enable variable editor for Service Request

We have requirement to enable variables to on request form 

Created formatter for sc_request table but it is not showing variable details on service request

Hi @Madankumar N 

adding variable editor to records of the sc_request table makes no sense. A Request is something like a basket in an online shop. Such a basket can have man individual products (sc_req_item records) for checking out. And Catalog Variables are the individual properties of each product (aka RITM).

So the question is why do you want to have the variable editor on records of table sc_request? What is the underlying business requirement? Why cannot you go to the requested RITM records?

We have one order guide for new hire 
We need to enable to manager edit some variables which is available or order guide

Hi

As far as I know you need to create variables with the same name on the catalog item - just setting "cascade variables" is not enough.

Then add the variable editor to the sc_request form and try it out.
