How to fetch UI Page data in ATF(Automated Test Framework)?

Hi,

I just want to know how will I fetch UI Page data (Date field value)  in Automated Test Framework (ATF) . As I have to validate the data. I  have searched it for almost every possible way but not getting any solution regarding the same. Kindly do reply on my post if any possible solutions available.

For UI Pages you would need to use the Custom UI steps located in ATF.  You'll need to retrieve the components so the Client Test Runner will do a quick run-through of the steps you have up until the Custom UI step to gather what's on the page. I think what you're looking for would be the Custom UI > Component Value Validation step.

Pre-Orlando I've seen these steps produce some weird results, i.e. not be able to validate Reference fields on UI Pages, etc. but since Orlando I haven't had *to* many issues. 🙂
