How to give write access for a particular group members to the particular field in a particular table?

Hi,

I created one role "routing_rule_subex_admin" and included this role in a assignment group "routing rule subex admin" and created new reference field in Routing rule table namely "Subexperience"

And also I created an ACL for "routing rule subex admin" group members to give the edit access for only that "Subexperience" field in a Routing Rule table (other fields should be in ready only mode)...

I gave Operation = write, Type = record, Name = u_routing_rule (table name), then field name(Subexperience)...

Already an ACL (write ACL) was exists for different role(cmdb_analyst) to provide write access for all fields in that Routing Rule table...

So my ACL overrides that existing ACL but still my ACL was not working...

Anyone help for this requirement...

Hi,

If same field has 2 ACL's then whichever evaluates to true access would be allowed.

Since you have individual field level ACL try to debug security rules.

Hi Ankur,

how to configure if the logged in user is member of the assignment group and has the required role, he will get the write access to the table but he should be restricted to only read access to all other tables through ACL. Is there any way? .
