Hi Everybody,
In Platform Analytics, I see some out-of-the-box dashboards that I don’t want users to see.
When I check the table pa_dashboard.list, I can open the dashboard records. However, in some of the record forms I can see this message appearing as this item is read only based on protection policy.
What is the best way to hide or disable these OOB dashboards so they don’t appear to users?
Thanks in advance!

Hi @SNOW_22,
You can control visibility by removing the roles and groups that have access to the dashboard. To do this, open the dashboard record as an admin and change who it is shared with. By default, many OOB dashboards are shared with broad roles like "ITIL" and Asset groups. You can remove these general roles and share the dashboard with your specific group or role that is not assigned to regular users. This will hide the dashboard from their view without requiring any modification to the read-only record itself.
Thanks & Regards,
Muhammad Iftikhar

Go to dashboard and check audiences, remove users/groups/roles from specific dashboard
Another easy way is to go par_dashboard_permission table and remove the view/edit permissions for specific dashboards or set Share = 'false'
I hope you appreciate the efforts to provide you with detailed information. If my response helped to guide you or answer your query, please mark it helpful & accept the solution.
Thanks,

Hi, I followed the steps in your response even if I put share as false it is still appearing in the OOB dashboards, also tried to remove roles yet users can see it
