How to provide links to the latest version of a KB article

How do we properly share a link to end users (to access via /sp portal) for a KB article with versioning?  We shared the URL, but made changes to the KB.  The link still points to the previous version.  I understand why, but figured there is a better way.  I tried looking at the Permalink option, but that does not appear to be what I am looking for.

How do you get a link to the latest version of the article regardless of which version the article is in?

Accessing the article based on the sysparm_view parameter renders the latest version of the article accessible to the user:

  • Knowledge V3: /kb_view.do?sysparm_article=KBXXXXXXXX
  • KM Service Portal: /kb?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KBXXXXXXX

This Service Portal format above worked for me.
