How to Revert the change to New without using change model

Hello All,
I am using workflow only in my change request and our requirement is to revert back the change to New from schedule state, I am using Revert to New button but it is using change model, is there any other way or any solution for that so i can move the state back to New and also all Approvers are Cancelled just like the Revert to new button functionality?
Urgent Requirement!!!!!!!!
