Hello All,
I want users with Knowledge role can Edit, Publish, Update and Retire KCS Articles regardless of Ownership Group selected on KCS Article.
Do I need to create new ACL's and make changes to UI actions?
Please help me to achieve this.
Thanks

Why you need to disturb OOTB behaviour?

Hi @Spartan_snow,
What action(s) are you trying to restrict? Can you provide the use case, please?
I assume by the nature of your question, you've enabled the system property: glide.knowman.ownership_group.enabled
As you're probably aware (and as per the SN Docs), when this property is enabled and a knowledge article is assigned to an ownership group:
- Only ownership group members have contribute access to the article even if they don't have contribute access to the knowledge base of the article. They can edit, approve, publish, and retire the knowledge article with which they are associated.
- Users who aren't a member of the ownership group can't contribute to the article even if they have contribute access to the knowledge base of the article.
There is a slight caveat to the above, however. This is when a user with the 'knowledge' role is the author (creator) of the article, and the Knowledge Base the article is associated to has in 'Instant Publish' workflow associated. If, that's the case, a user meeting these conditions will be able to create and publish an article without the oversight or approval of the 'Owning Group'.
If the article is created against a Knowledge Base that has an approval workflow, regardless of the users role and if they're the creator or not, the Owning Group will need to review and approve before publishing.
To help others (or for me to help you more directly), please mark this response correct by clicking on Accept as Solution and/or Kudos.
Thanks, Robbie
