Hi @NidhishS ,

Regarding monitoring the activation status:

  • Navigate to System Definition → Plugins (or directly open the v_plugin.list table) and check the status of the plugin record. [s2-labs.com]
  • Review System Logs (System Logs → All) for any plugin-related messages or errors during activation.
  • Depending on your role and instance type, you may also be able to review records related to plugin installations and update activity.
  • Unfortunately, ServiceNow does not typically provide a detailed progress bar, percentage complete, or estimated completion time for plugin activation. In most cases, the status remains "Activating Plugin" until the process either completes successfully or encounters an error.

If the plugin has remained in the "Activating Plugin" state for more than a few hours and there is no activity in the logs, I recommend:

  1. Refreshing the instance and checking the plugin record again.
  2. Reviewing system logs for activation errors.
  3. If this is a non-PDI instance, opening a ServiceNow Support case.
  4. If this is a PDI, allowing additional time, as delayed activations are a known occurrence on resource-constrained developer instances.

If it is helpful, please hit the thumbs button please mark the answer as correct based on the impact!!

Kind Regards,

Shaik Mohammed Mustaq.
