Is it possible to Approve request from Microsoft Teams without any roles assigned to the approver

If an approver responds to an approval request via Microsoft Teams(Approve/Reject), do they require a ServiceNow license if they don’t have any assigned role in the system?

I have checked and it ispossible for a user without any role to approve or reject RITMs directly from email, I want to know if this will work from Microsoft Teams as well.

may be you can try this -

Use Virtual Agent + Teams Integration or Flow Designer with Teams connector
Configure notification flows to send approval cards to Teams
Include:
- Request summary
- Approve/Reject buttons
- Optional comment field

No Role Required:

Users can approve directly from Teams using secure tokens
Ensure the Flow Designer action uses the correct approval record and user mapping

As per my understanding, approvers need to have approver_user role for them to be configured as approvers. Below documentation link can provide more information,

approvers do not need approver_user role to approve requests. I tested it out. A user without any roles can approve a request from email, portal, and Teams integration notifications.
