If an approver responds to an approval request via Microsoft Teams(Approve/Reject), do they require a ServiceNow license if they don’t have any assigned role in the system?
I have checked and it ispossible for a user without any role to approve or reject RITMs directly from email, I want to know if this will work from Microsoft Teams as well.

may be you can try this -
- Use Virtual Agent + Teams Integration or Flow Designer with Teams connector
- Configure notification flows to send approval cards to Teams
- Include:
- Request summary
- Approve/Reject buttons
- Optional comment field
No Role Required:
- Users can approve directly from Teams using secure tokens
- Ensure the Flow Designer action uses the correct approval record and user mapping
