Is there a way for us to compress the uploaded images into lesser file size?

As you know, most of our gadgets are now taking photos with high resolution. Same with the users of our platform who are taking photos and attaching it to their requests or records. Big file sizes uploaded to the system require bigger storage.
We would like to ask if ServiceNow has some kind of API or anything that can compress images(not zip) into smaller file sizes. Like when uploading an image with 10Mb, it will be saved into sys_attachment table with 1Mb or lesser than the original file size.
I am asking this because I faced an issue with converting HTML to PDF. As per ServiceNow agent, there is a limit of 5Mb per image to be converted into PDF. Greater than that will cancel the transaction.

I don't think OOB any method is present for this.
I assume you might have to think some custom solution for this.
