Issues loading data via an import

Good day all,

I have loaded data into tables previously and had no issues via right clicking on a list, selecting import and either using a ServiceNow generated excel sheet or not - no problem.

Have tried to do what i though was a very simple data load today (albeit to a custom table) and have had an issue that neither i or our contracted ServiceNow expert have found an answer for, so fingers crossed someone out there can tell me what i am missing.

When the data loads to the staging area it shows the 3 fields i am putting data into (1x string and 2x choice fields).

At this point all appears to be present and correct however when i accept the load and have it commit to the table the string field loses its info and shows as empty;

Please can someone provide me with a solution for this???

Kindest of Regards

Steve

How does the data in that field looks like?

Hi Sergiu,

Thanks for replying.

Actually found the issue; it seemed that using the 'Right click' on a list view and import shortcut option created a generic transform map which i wouldn't have gone in to amend in any way before trying to load the data.

Because my data had duplicated entries (i think), when i did an actual data load and set up my own transform map i had to amend some of the detail in it, eg. setting the choice action (ignore/create/reject) & coalesce(True/False) fields in the field maps section.

Kind Regards

Steve
