Does (or will) ServiceNow support MarkDown for knowledge base articles?
Thanks,
Jerry

Currently, we do not officially support Markdown Language.
It has compatibility issues with other products, such as Connect Chat. For more information refer to - KB0760271 in Hi.

Mark this as helpful if this answers your question.

I would love to have Markdown support throughout the entire platform, but it would be extremely useful for at least KB articles.. The KB you referenced (KB0760271) isn't really clear about what the blockers are to adopting Markdown in the platform for KB articles.

Is this still the case in 2023? If so it is a HUGE letdown. We have teams of developers writing documentation in repositories that we want to pull into ServiceNow. Especially in a world where almost 100% of the public Microsoft documentation is markdown, I can't imagine a good reason to not support it in an Enterprise Knowledge Management system.

Not having Markdown (with a preview option) for case replies and KB formatting is one of the single biggest misses in the SNC platform. It's the industry standard and makes for quick easy formatting and dramatically improves the clarity of communication to the customer.
HTML formatting is clunky and bothersome and not suitable for fast paced customer service operations.

The Markdown Knowledge Extension in Share is working for us. We are on version Paris.
