Hi @nandini29

Try it:

  1. Create and Assign a Custom Role
  • Navigate to User Administration > Roles > click New.
  • Create a specific role (like ritm_variable_editor).
  • Navigate to User Administration > Groups and open the group that requires edit access.
  • Go to the Roles related list, click Edit, add your new role, and Save.

  1. Map the Role to the Variables
  • Navigate to Service Catalog > Catalog Definitions > Maintain Items and open your specific Catalog Item.
  • Scroll to the Variables related list and open the variable you want to make editable.
  • In the variable record, look for the Permissions or Read Roles / Write Roles tab (depending on your UI version).
  • Add your new custom role (i.e ritm_variable_editor) to the Write Roles or Permission list, and click Update

Hi @Tanushree Maiti
Thank you for your response
Is there any other solution?

Hi @nandini29

I would advise strongly against the solution provided by @Tanushree Maiti as this is nothing near best practice. You should instead look towards catalog builder which is a non Admin solution for catalog iitrms provided OOTB.

If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.
