I am not able to create relationship with CI in CMDB. Below are the steps which I am following:

1. Go in Windows Server CI class

2. open any CI and click the '+' button in order to add the relationship

3. On clicking + sign I am getting below error message

As far as I know ecmdb_admin is the role which is needed to create relationship with CI and this user has the same role i.e ecmdb_admin

Hi Ajay,

Did all the OOTB suggested relationships get deleted in your instance? Nav over to suggested relationships module and see if you have any there for server class.

Hi Patrick,

The Suggested relationship records are present. I am able to create relationship with Admin user. we have a specific user which also have access to CI and that user is not able to add relationship and getting the above error.

Hi Ajay,

Does the user with ecmdb_admin have access to the Suggested Relationships table (shown below.) If so, is there a relationship for the Base and Dependent classes you are looking for?

Add a suggested CI relationship

Hi Chuck,

Initially the user having role ecmdb_admin was not able to see records in Suggested Relationship due to security constraints.

Then I created read/write ACL for that particular table and now the user can see the records as below:

But still I am getting same error again.
