On-call scheduling: Out of hours on-call - 3 week shift cycle

Hi,

 

I'm trying to configure an on-call schedule for a team which work on a 3 week rotation. Each week has a primary and secondary on-call person. The weekly cycle should change at 08:00 AM every Monday and the pattern looks something like below. 

 

Week 1:

Primary: Alice

Secondary: Bob

 

Week 2:

Primary: Bob

Secondary: Carol

 

Week 3:

Primary: Carol

Secondary Alice

 

My way of doing this was to create 3 shifts; one for each week in "Define Schedule". I set these to repeat every day.

 

Then under "Members", I have added a Primary roster and a Secondary roster for each shift.

Example for Week 1 shift - Primary contains Alice and Secondary contains Bob. The "Rotation start date" is the first Monday of the schedule. "Rotation interval" is Weekly. "Rotate every" 3 Weeks. "Day of week for rotation" Monday.

 

After publishing the schedule, I view it in "On-Call Calendars". If I right click and "edit span" I can set each schedule entry to Repeat Weekly every 3 weeks.

 

The issue I'm having is that the repeating schedule on the shifts seems to rotate the pattern on a Sunday rather than a Monday. I don't see any way of defining which day to rotate on the schedule level.

 

Is there a better way to configure this on-call rotation so that it rotates on a Monday as desire?
