The best way is to create an integration for that.

Hi,
Thank you for the comment.

I created the integration, so I can create an incident from PagerDuty to ServiceNow now.
However, the opposite is not possible.

I mean, what prevents incident creation from Snow to PD??

If the integration isn't correctly implemented then your PD won't create an Incident ticket.

Hello,

As mentioned in the previous answer, one of the ways to achieve integration between ServiceNow and PagerDuty is through the PagerDuty integration plugin from ServiceNow Store.

If you are looking for less technical alternatives, which can integrate incidents from ServiceNow to PagerDuty, OpsHub is an excellent option. A ServiceNow partner and a certified integration tool, OpsHub offer a federated integration platform that can help ease your integration journey with reliable and predictable outcomes.

OpsHub also takes care of more specialized use cases like:

  • Format retention: ServiceNow uses rich text formatting standards (HTML text formatting). OpsHub retains the format when integrating data between ServiceNow and PagerDuty.
  • Data Granularity: OpsHub integration solution also integrates history between ServiceNow and PagerDuty. E.g., between the two syncs, if the user modifies the status from Open -> In Progress -> Resolved on ServiceNow, the OpsHub integration tool allows users to see the exact transition (Open -> In Progress -> Resolved) happening on PagerDuty too.
  • Supported entities: All System and Custom Tables on ServiceNow and Incident on PagerDuty are supported by the OpsHub Integration Manager.

Please reach out to OpsHub’s Integration Experts for an initial free consultation on integration planning.

Thanks

Vishal
