We have a requirement to ping a given server name to fetch thabcde pvt ip address of the server. Is this doable in servicenow. If so any KB or how to?
Eg:
Server Name is abcde
IP Address is 10.0.0.10
In the request field - While entering the host name, servicenow to ping the host & update the ip address in the IP address field.

Hi Bharath,
I don't think out of the box you would find something similar to this; i.e. if you give hostname then it would give you IP address
you would require some open source API which would accept hostname and give you the ip address
Mark ✅ Correct if this solves your issue and also mark 👍 Helpful if you find my response worthy based on the impact.
Thanks
