Platform Analytics Dashboard Filter – DB View String/Value Field Not Available in Filter Field Selec

Hi ServiceNow Community,

I have a Catalog Item with a Date/Time variable:

  • Name: appointment_date_time
  • Type: Date/Time

I need to filter my Platform Analytics dashboard based on the appointment date/time entered on the Catalog Item.

Since the variable is not directly available on sc_task, I created a Database View joining:

  • sc_task
  • sc_item_option_mtom
  • sc_item_option
  • item_option_new

The DB View is working correctly and shows:

  • Catalog Task
  • RITM
  • Question → Appointment date/time
  • Value → actual appointment date/time value

The Value field is coming from sc_item_option.value and is exposed in the DB View as opt_value.

However, when I use this DB View as the Filter Source in my Platform Analytics dashboard and select Single Select, the Value / opt_value field does not appear in the Field dropdown.

Interestingly, the same DB View configuration in my PDI does show the Value field. The issue is only occurring in my DEV instance.

I am aware that sc_item_option.value is a String field even though the original variable is Date/Time. That is not my question/problem. The issue is that the field is not available for selection at all.

How can I make the DB View’s Value (opt_value) field available in the Platform Analytics filter configuration in DEV? Is there any additional configuration, metadata, or Platform Analytics setting required?

I have attached screenshots of the DB View and filter configuration.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is urgent.
