Plugins Reinstalling Automatically After Uninstallation in DEV Instance

Hello Everyone,

We are in the process of uninstalling the ITOM Event Management functionality from an instance. As part of this, we uninstalled the following plugins in the DEV environment. However, we noticed that these plugins are automatically reinstalled in the DEV instance.
- Event Management Core - App id: sn_em_ai

- Service Operations Workspace ITOM Apps (sn_sow_itom_cont)
- AIOps Experience (sn_sow_aiops)

Could someone help us understand why these plugins are being reinstalled automatically?

Thanks you in advance for your response!

Do you have other applications installed that have dependencies on these apps?

Also: are they installed on PROD? If not, just clone your PROD over DEV and they are gone. Just be aware that any entitlements are still there, so you may be able to reinstall them from the Application manager. That should be something communicated internally so nobody does that.

@Audumbar kamble

once plugin is installed you cannot uninstall it. you will have to manually remove/hide the components which got installed as part of that plugin

Since it's DEV instance you need not worry.

Hi @Audumbar kamble,

I don't think it is possible to uninstall plugin. Or at least it hasn't been possible as long as I remember, if so it must have been changed recently but I doubt it.

Note: After a plugin is activated, you cannot disable or deactivate it. If needed, you can hide the functionality. You should thoroughly test, in a non-production instance, the specific features and functionalities that are installed when you activate the plugin before using them in a production instance.
