POP3 polling interval

Hi,

we are using our own Mailserver for integration and it works fine. However incoming mails get collected by our instance only once every 15 minutes. This is not adequate for the scenario here and we need to have it collect emails more frequently. Where can I configure this? I checked the system properties but found nothing...

Thanx,
CT

Check out the 'POP Reader' and 'SMTP Sender' jobs under 'System Scheduler->Scheduled Jobs'.

Hi Mark,

I did, they are 2 minutes. Still, it takes 15 Minutes and I can see the mals here in the POP account straight away... hm.

Thanx,
Christian 🙂

You might need to check with your email admin then. That's the only setting in Service-now that controls that behavior. If you've got email coming in every 15 minutes then you know the job is running. You might also check the 'Next Action' stamp against the 'Updated' stamp to make sure it's running every 2 minutes.

Hi Mark,

well, I did check all that. It looks like that part works just fine. The internal Mailservers are Lotus Notes ... who knows what gets replicated where and which mailbox is actually accessed. I dont like it but I will have to clarify this with our mail guys... 🙂

Thanks,
Christian 🙂
