We have two journal_input fields comments, work notes on the catalog task form. The post button is available only for work notes and not comments. How do I get it even for the other field too?

It could be a permission issue. Please look at creating a write ACL on this table for the .comments

Hi Allen,
The users can still post something into this field. It's just that they cannot use the Post option. Again, this is available on incident form comments field, just cannot see it on catalog task.

Without seeing the rest of the form, I'm unsure here. I've seen the post button disappear when I added some other features to my form that weren't necessarily support. Have you done any other customization?
And the users can still "post" something there by typing and then saving? Is that how it's posting still?

Hi Allen,
Maybe the below images might help. See the difference between catalog task and incident forms. On incident form a general IT user can write something on additional comments or work notes and save it by using the 'Post' button available under the work notes field.(though it is present under work notes, the same button is used for posting something to additional comments as well)
The same is not happening on the catalog task form. An ITIL user can post something to work notes using the Post button below the field. When the user write something on additional comments, the only way it gets saved is by saving the form or clicking the UI action 'Update' available on the form. Hope this helps to understand the issue.
