Project: Planned effort change from 24hr to 8hr

At the moment projects "planned efforts" calculate 1day = 24 hours. This really hard for project managers and looking to change 8hr date. Is there any way to change "planned effort" same as business hours 1day=8hr?

I think all you need to do here is apply a schedule that uses an 8 hour day. Have you already tried this?

Thanks Ben. Since "Planned effort" is manually entered date/time field schedule can not be used in here.

Sounds like you are trying to change the behavior of these duration fields, I don't think this is possible, but I will let others chime in.

CHRISTUS Health customized their PPM to use the 8 hr day several years ago. Dave Knight was a big help since changing the duration isn't an easy process.
