"Idea" content type is not appearing in the Post Content widget across all forums.

As we investigated in PROD, we found that, In Client portal the "Idea" content type is not appearing in the Post Content widget across all forums. The issue is not reproducible in lower environments, and there’s no history available to check if any changes were made to the content types.

as we found that the Idea content type was active in the forum.

hi @Aditya Sakh,

I hope you have compared the widget code and instance options for that widget.

Ensure that the roles or ACLs assigned to the users in production allow creating “Idea” posts.

After updating configurations, clear the cache and try again.

Hi @Aditya Sakh ,

This looks like configuration or permissions issue specific to the production instance. In addition to above suggestions, I recommend checking forum settings (any settings in production that might implicitly exclude or hide this content type from the Post Content widget).

You can also check if any system properties related to content types or the Client Portal differ between production and lower environments. These might indirectly affect the visibility of "Idea" content type.

@Aditya Sakh ,

It’s very likely a configuration gap, specifically the forum’s Content Types related list may not include Idea in PROD (even though it’s active in lower), or the widget instance used in the portal is restricted to certain content types (so Idea isn’t allowed). In some cases, the widget instance’s Content Type setting must exactly match or include the content type you want to show, otherwise the widget will filter it out. Also check the Widget Instance / Content Publishing rules, and ensure that Idea is published and assigned to the correct forum, audience, and schedule in PROD......
