Real time working experience on ITSM

Hi All,

I wanted to know what kind of scenarios or day to day tasks that servicenow ITSM profile people would receive mostly. I am learning servicenow ITSM and worked in ITIL. Aware of basic configurations to perform on  servicenow platform.

 

What would be the usual tasks of ITSM that you are aware of. I have just basic knowledge of Javascript knowledge but no idea of developing customized applications. 

What are the usual client requirements for Servicenow ITSM. Please let me know. It would help me to clear my doubts.

You will be most likely requried to ;

 

  • create catalog Items / flow to assign approvals / tasks etc to various teams
  • configure and maintain the platform to ensure defined processes are working (by using scripts, business rules, UI policies etc)
  • work on Integrations
  • enable new modules / features on platform
  • handle vendor upgrades / internal releases 

These are the first things came to my mind.
