Remove or Deactivate Survey Answer

We have surveys that we send out with one of the questions being a simple Choice selection question. Our issue is that we need to remove one of the options from that choice selection list. I don't see a way to deactivate just the answer, only the whole question and if I delete the option, it would remove it from all surveys taken in the past that selected that which we do not want since we need that history.

How can I deactivate just a single answer choice on a survey question?

Disregard, we found that we can rename or remove option without impact, the issue we were seeing was in pulling current Display Value in the database view we made rather than result string value.
