removing specific options when other field (checkbox) is true

"When a checkbox field is marked as true, specific fields should be removed from the list collector field."

What do they mean "fields should be removed from the list collector field"
The list collector is a field all on its own.
Are you certain they dont' mean choices from a choice list?
