RITM and Request must be same as Catalog Task state, When state changes

Hi All,

I want to keep RITM and Request states same as Catalog Task(SC TASK) state for particular catalog task's when state changes.

ex: If Catalog Task state changes to 'working in progress' then RITM and Request state also should be same in 'Working in progess'.

Please help me.

Whenever SC task state changes to 'closed complete' or 'closed incomplete' then only RITM and Reuquest state should update same as SC TASK, not for 'working in progess' or 'resolved'. Can you help me?

Yes, you certainly can do, but it going to be a very long and costly decision 

Since, most of your workflows and BRs follow a certain state lifecycle, if you change those, you need to make sure, these components are also following the same.

For changing the states for Request same as catalog task:

1. Go to configure dictionary on the state field on Request form.

2. Go to bottom at choices related list

3. Bring state column if doesn't exist already

4. Search for sc_request table on table column

5. you will get the list of states on Request

Similarly you can do for sc_task table, then you can update the values that you want.

But again, I would say if you have a new instance in place, go ahead with this, but if you have an old instance with lots of customizations on topof it, have a detailed discussion about it

Is this a business requirement?

If yes do you want to do this for all catalogs?

Then, what do you want to do if the RITM has more than 1 task?
