RITM stage is set to 'wating_for_approval' though there is no active approval?

Hi

There is order guide ABC for which the an approval is getting generated at REQ level and when it gets approved it should create RITM tasks but the RITM is stuck at waiting for approval stage and state as 'Open'. 

The strange thing is that it's not happening in all the case requested from ABC order guide it might be happening when it's requested for someone else.

I have visited already open thread and resource available like KA  - KB0954499 & KB0778521  but it's not quite helpful

KB0778521   - Catalog tasks are not being created. Why?

KB0954499  - How to customize the RITM's initial stage "Request Approval"

Note : For the OOB global business rule "sc_req_item_stageGetChoices" we have replaced the stage choice "Request Approval" with "Waiting for Approval".

 

Appreciate your any help and lead to debug and fix this issue.

In OOB, we have BR "Cascade Request Approval to Request Item" to communicate request approval to RITM which will close or trigger RITM flow/workflow.

 

In RITM, table we have BRs to start workflow or flow. 

Start FlowDesigner Flow

Start Workflow

 

So please review all these BR and ensure stage & state value is matching with your RITM records. If not, please update as per your state & stage values
