RPA Desktop Design Studio Load Error

Hey Guys,

Have anyone run into the following error when attempting to run RPA Desktop Design Studio?

STUDIO NOT FOUND

"Studio plugin could not be found."

see attached screenshot

I couldn't find any reference to the studio plugin in the current documentation, not sure whats causing it or how to get around it.

Hey Vishnu,

I am referring to the Design Studio (RPA Desktop Design Studio MSI) part of the Robotic Process Automation under Robotic Process Automation -> Administration -> Download section

The error I got is after when I installed the RPA Desktop Design Studio on local machine, don't think it's related to the app engine studio

Hi Byron,

I've not encountered this issue myself and was able to install the RPA Desktop design Studio without issue. 

- Did you check to make sure that you meet the minimum requirements? (Windows 10 & .NET Framework 4.7.1 or higher) 

Based on your screenshot this error seems to appear during 'Querying remote configuration', I wonder if it actually checks your instance... 

Within your ServiceNow instance could you navigate to 'Installed RPA Plugins' and verify if you have the Design studio plugin available there? 

Otherwise you may need to try to repair your RPA plugin on the ServiceNow instance.

Hey Fernando,

Thanks for the reply, I am running windows 11, .net framework 4.8 on my local machine, and I have also tried it on a windows 10 machine with .net framework 4.7.1, which resulted in the same error.

The RPA Desktop Design Studio plugin is installed as well. I've also executed a repair of the RPA plugin, no luck.
