Service Bridge - Disable consumer updates to provider work notes

Is there a way to disable or suppress work notes entries of every Service Bridge update from the consumer to the provider instance?  We've deactivated the work_notes inbound/outbound fields on both provider and consumer instances.  The Work Notes field in the provider instance is still being updated with a long entry no matter which field the consumer updates from their side.  Is there a way to disable this or suppress?

Regarding the Work Notes / Additional comments, 

Work Notes is being updated through an script include, which is installed during Service Bridge Connection Setup (i.e. sb - script include), Its protected script and code is hidden.

Also there is an OOB BR regarding Additional comments, which is also read-only.
