We need to integrate Service Now with an FTP. The FTP will contain two xml folders. One of the folders will contain data from HP Service Manager 7.0 and the other folder will contain data uploaded from the Service Now instance. See attachment
1. Can we use Update Set for receiving information from the FTP?
2. What should we use for receiving information from the FTP?
3. Is there any example of settings that we need to do in SNC?
4. Is there a wiki page/demo for this?

Hey guys,
Did I miss something? I thought ServiceNow only worked with SFTP...
Could mean some good news on the simplification front if it's now possible to use FTP...
Let me know your thoughts. Cheers.

There are several options when talking about data retrieval from third party sources to ServiceNow. Check out:

Hello Sorensalte,
We also have a similar requirement. We want to integrate HP Service Manager 7.0 and ServiceNow using SFTP.
The requirement is similar to yours and I hope you would have implemented a good solution.
1. An xml file containing incident record would be placed on SFTP by HP SM 7.0 and the same should be read and an incident should be created in servicenow.
2. Once an incident is created, servicenow should place an acknowledgement in form of an xml file on the SFTP server. This also has to be done if something has been updated in servicenow.
Please share your experience.
john.andersen : Please advice.
