Service Portal Page Updates and Update Sets

Hi,

I've just started managing our ServiceNow instance, and I had a question. In Admin training, we're told that changes in pages aren't included in update sets. I looked at how you can unload a home page to add it to the current update set, but I don't get that option for Service Portal pages.

I was wondering if any changes you make to a Service Portal page is stored in the update set. It looks like it is, but I wanted to check with the community to see if I'm correct in that assumption. Thanks!

Yes, changes to the Service Portal like adding a widget, or changing the variables in that widget do get captured in an update set.

So far, I haven't run into anything that doesn't get captured in an update set. Even cloning pages & widgets get captured.

Thanks John. You were right and the page changes were included in the update set.

If you need to clone an entire page, there's an excellent tool in the Share site that has saved me countless hours of time. The page clone also gets captured in the update set.

... in case the link doesn't take you directly to it, it's called 'Clone SP Page (Not a Widget)'

Thanks again John! I didn't know about this tool and I did want to find a way to clone a page! I hope your Rangers win a Stanley Cup now
