Setting default answers for Surveys

Hi there,

I've been browsing the community for answers to setting default answers for survey question and yet to find an answer that works.

I have the below survey and want to set a default answer for the first 4 question:

I've gone into the assessment metrics and got it to display the default answer field but when clicking in the drop down box nothing is displayed:

What am I missing?

Hi Alex,

Right click the Default Answer field & look for Calculated value table you will find Category Table field as a value in table.

Can you tell me what you referenced in the "dependent on field" to get your questions for surveys to appear in "default answer" field? I have changed it from category but I do not see any that would be right.

Hey guys, did anyone get this working?  All we want to do is set a default answer on a choice variable.  Seems pretty strait forward, but we don't want to break existing functionality.  Has anyone seen anything on HI regarding this topic?

I have a similar requirement as above and the Default answer seems to be drop down field showing values based on the dependent field selected which I really do not know why. 

Did you guys find a way to achieve the above requirement of setting a default values to numeric scale data types or any other for Survey Management ? If yes, Please do let me know. Thank you!
