SMS Notification Link to Incident in ServiceNow Agent App?

Hello everyone,

I created a custom notification that is being used as an SMS notification. I'd like to include a link in the text message that directs the user to the related Incident record.

My goal is for the recipient to tap the link on their mobile phone and have it open directly in the ServiceNow Agent app (or ServiceNow mobile app) so they can view additional details about the incident.

Has anyone implemented something similar? Specifically:

  • Is there a way to include a URL in an SMS notification that points to the Incident record?
  • Can that URL be configured as a deep link that opens directly in the ServiceNow Agent app instead of a mobile browser?
  • If so, what URL format or configuration is required?

Any guidance, best practices, or examples would be greatly appreciated.
