SSO sign on to NOW Mobile

Hi Team, I've got a curly Platform Native question;

One of my <customers> have indicated they have ~3000 employees who do not have <customer> system logon/email accounts.<customer> indicated that they will want these employees to access ServiceNow via the NOW mobile application.

These employees do not have User accounts in ServiceNow currently. The corporate<customer> employees have User accounts with logon/emails and are in the Active Directory. The Active Directory fills the User profile in ServiceNow, and <customer> uses SSO.

Can these employees without user accounts in ServiceNow still access the NOWMobile App via SSO ?

-------------------------------------------

My Thinking below:

Create User Accounts

  1.  Add Employee ID to the User table and populate this field via Active Directory import/integration
  2. Bulk upload the ~3000 employees with the following basic information-
    • User ID
    • Employee ID
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Location
    • Title
    • Department
    • Manager
    • Phone

This will allow the employees to have access to SSO to access the NOW mobile application (assuming that SSO is not dependent on email, but based on the userid being imported).

The Employee ID can then be used as the unique identifier to relate the User Profile and the HR Profile.

The HR profile will then be populated with the remaining sensitive data from a CHRIS21 import.

Low maintenance – new employee commences (waged or salaried), they are added to Active Directory and have a user account created.
