Hello All,
Can we keep the data within ServiceNow for 7 years?
If not, then for minimum how years we can keep the data within service now?
Went through few serviceNow articles related to data retention it says : data lives in your instance as long as long as you're a customer of ServiceNow backups are kept for short period after the termination of the contract.
Does data retention policy is dependent customer's license?
If an user has a license then for what period of time he can keep the data within servicenow?
If an users license expires, does he gets backup of data back after the renewal of license.
Please help,
Thank you.

You can keep data in your instance for as long as you like. ServiceNow does not delete any data from your instance. That said, have a look at these:
As of today (March 14, 2023), Backups of the instance are kept for 28 days. This will change to 14 days in the future.

Hi @lomo1014
Thanks for your reply here.
For the change from 28 to 14, is that posted in a support article or somewhere/does it also say when? Later this year or "soon"?
Please consider marking my reply as Helpful and/or Accept Solution, if applicable. Thanks!
