standard change template creation ATF

Hi @Brian Lancaster ,

I am trying to create a standard change template and i am facing some obstacles here. Kindly help.

When looked at manual creation of template, we have short description, justification, blackout plan, risk and impact analysis etc. which are under 'change request values.

When I try to do it using ATF, I see 

How should I add all the values short description, justification, blackout plan, risk and impact analysis etc. using ATF.

Hi,

As best I recall, just keep adding the fields in, with appropriate values, in your "Add Test Step: Set Field" values form (bottom line in "Field Values" section).

They are in the script. You will not find dropdown for this type of test step.

Hi @Brian Lancaster .. Thanks for the screenshot..
I tried your steps but while running the ATF the fields aren't filling out as expected.

This is where my issue is --> I dont see the Change Request Values drop down option under the Set Field Values .. There is an option "Created from change >> change request fields and I dot walked all the fields (impl plan, test plan, backout etc), but after running the ATF it throws an error that unable to set field "created_from_change.impl_plan to value" .. 

Also in the Set Field Values I selected "Change request values" option wrote the values based on your screenshot .. After running the ATF it wasnt working.

Btw this was all under Standard Change Proposal table. This is where Im struck and looking out for assistance.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean. It is a script, there should be no need to dot walk and there is no dropdowns. Can you confirm what you are trying to do. Also you may want to post your own question.

Actually, I worked it on my own. Anyone needs help, I can share my steps. No need of scripting.

Hi Suman .. I'm trying to add those fields using change request table & standard change template table, it isnt showing up. Could you please help me with your steps how did you bring those fields in?
