As a normal user, how can I access sys_journal_field. There is a requirement for us to view comments/ work notes related to incident/request etc.
If I am not able to access the API, how am I able to view the work notes/ comments when I login? Also, why is sys_journal_field not accessible via REST API Explorer even though "Allow access to this table via web services" is checked for that particular table.

Hi Srikar,
If you are able to access the incidents, requests, etc. The related entries in sys_journal_field are available in the notes tab of those objects. If you are not seeing them, then your admin needs to make them visible. There is a lot of discussion around who should be able to see work notes as those are intended to remain within the assignment group as opposed to additional comments which are shared.

HI,
Comments should be visible to you if you have opened the incident or caller of that incident. I tried this with api and i get the comments back.

why do you require end user access to system table sys_journal_field
Does that user have table level READ ACL to access the table?
